The deadline to register for the Port Aransas Youth Soccer League fall 2010 season is today, Thursday, Aug. 26.

Parents can register children for the fall 2010 season at Fire It! Ceramics, 210 N. Alister St., between 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Players must be 3 years old by Sept. 1 to be eligible. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required if this is his or her first season to play for PAYSL. Registration fees range from $55 to $65 for recreational teams, depending on the age of the child.

Players are also needed for a competitive Under 13 boys team.

PAYSL also needs referees for the fall season, especially those age 16 or more.

The league will pay the training fee and referees are compensated for each game officiated. Compensation varies based on certification level, experience and division of the game. Training will be held in Corpus Christi on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 11-12.

Games may be played on Tuesday and Friday evening and on Saturday morning and afternoon. Some Sunday games are possible.
