Robert “Bob” Henry Lantz, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010. He was the father of Ralph (Rhonda) Lantz of Port Aransas.

Lantz was born in Vivian, La. to George and Lillie Lantz and resided in Baton Rouge, La. for the past 57 years.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruby Wales Lantz of Baton Rouge; a daughter, Rhonda (David) Edwards of Tickfaw, La.; two other sons, Ronald Lantz of Baton Rouge, and Reid (Tanya) Lantz of Gig Harbor, Wash.; two sisters, Marjorie Lantz of Texarkana, and Imogene Paris of Vivian, La.; four brothers, Jimmy Lantz of Jefferson, Kenneth Lantz of Natchitoches, La., Melvin ”Buck” Lantz of Vivian, La., and Michael Lantz of Sweeny; four grandchildren, Christopher (Christie) Boudreaux of Denham Springs, La.; Shannon (Weston) Trahan of Kaplan, La., Nicholas Lantz of Port Aransas, and Olivia Lantz of Gig Harbor, Wash., and five great-grandchildren.

Lantz was preceded in death by his sister, Dorleise Thompson.

Services were held on Monday, Aug.16, in Baton Rouge with interment in Chipola, La. Pallbearers were Ronald Lantz, Ralph Lantz, Reid Lantz, Christopher Boudreaux, Nicholas Lantz and Mike Lantz.
