Throw on a hat, grab a pail and head to the beach in search of treasures that wash ashore.

A free, guided beach walk will be held tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 27.

Beachcombers can join guide Shirley Fischer on the beach under the purple flag near Horace Caldwell Pier at 9 a.m. to enjoy an informative beach walk.

Each month the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department offers the walks for visitors and residents.

Beach walkers should wear sunscreen, appropriate shoes, hats and clothing and bring a container for any treasures found.

The walks are held on the fourth Friday of each month.
