Olympic hopeful couple


Alaina Wiliams of Levelland, on left, and her boyfriend Steven Legendre of Norman, Okla., are gymnasts competing for spots on the U.S. Olympic team. Williams won the women’s crown at the VISA Championships in West Hartford, Conn., Aug. 10-14. Legendre also competed at the VISA Championships winning the vault title. The two met at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs in October, 2007. Williams is the daughter of Wayne and Christi Williams of Port Aransas.
