All aboard for reading
Children ages four to nine enjoyed the summer reading program at the Bill Ellis Memorial Library during June and July. This year’s statewide theme was ‘Catch the Reading Express.’ Pictured above, program participants got crafty with book themed projects. Below, Tres Walker, 7, shares a story with the group. He is the son of Wendy and Randy Moore and the late M.L. Walker. The free program was self-paced and designed to foster reading success by having children record titles of books that they had read.
