Kenneth Ragan, 62, formerly of Port Aransas, died Sunday, July 18, 2010.

Ragan was born in Sulphur Springs, on Sept. 1, 1947 to Milford Ray and Mary Florene Chezem Ragan. He married Jennie Sartain on March 22, 1975 in Sulphur Springs.

Ragan was a retired regional law enforcement officer for Texas Parks and Wildlife. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam and in the army reserves in Iraq. He was a member of the League Street Church of Christ .

Ragan is survived by his wife; sons, Drs. Dustin (Gwen) Ragan of Saint Louis and Will Ragan of Houston; and his mother.

He was preceded in death by his father.
