Finding their roots

Brenda Gaulding (that’s her, second from left), of Wimberley, had an aunt and uncle, Bob and Mary Gaulding, who lived in the historic Mercer House (background) many years ago. Brenda visited the house herself when she was a child. On Saturday, June 26, Brenda brought some of her own children to visit the house, which now houses the Port Aransas Museum. From left are Parker Tise, 14, Brenda, Brenda’s daughter, Carlie Tise, 16, and Brenda’s son, Eric Taylor, 28.
