The swimmers did a great job and competed in some events for the first time, according to team coach Nana Ward. “am very proud of all the swimmers,” stated Ward.

The team’s next two meets will be held at the Port Aransas Community Park Pool, 700 Clark Parkway. Saturday, June 19, will be against CC Natatorium at 9 a.m. and Saturday, June 26 will be against Santa Fe.

Swimmers are raising money by taking pledges for swimming as many laps as they can in an hour at a marathon on Monday, July 26, at 5:30 p.m. at the community pool.

The team will also hold a bake sale at the Family Center IGA today, June 17, from 5:30 - 8 p.m.

First and second place winner

Olivia Adams competed in the Port Aransas Swim Team’s competition against Corpus Christi Estates in the girls six and under age bracket. She placed first in the 25-meter backstroke and second in the 25-meter freestyle. She is the daughter of Rick and Clare Adams.
