Gold medalist Dr. Lee Fuiman, director of The University of Texas Marine Science Institute, brought home the gold medal from the USA Open National Volleyball Championship competition. Fuiman’s team, the Outsiders, competed in the Silver division, a 55-plus age bracket. The Outsiders is registered in Baton Rouge and is comprised of players from Louisiana, Colorado, New York and Texas. Fuiman and his team won after four days of play, May 29 to June 5, in Phoenix, Ariz.
