Port Aransas afghans commissioned by KPAB

STAFF PHOTO BY MURRAY JUDSON Keep Port Aransas Beautiful has commissioned special woven afghans as a fundraiser.

The afghans, slate blue and cream, measure 48 by 68 inches.

They depict prominent areas of Port Aransas, including the Port Aransas Museum, Community Center, Tarpon Inn, the Nature Preserve and Birding Centers, the Little Chapel on the Hill, the University of Texas Marine Science Institute, a ferry, Horace Caldwell Pier and more.

The afghans may be purchased by contacting Cheryl Campbell at 361-749- 7681 or cherylraecampbell@gmail.com. Payment also may be mailed to KPAB, P.O. Box 595, Port Aransas, TX 78373.

Order forms can be downloaded from www.portasouthjetty.com. Click on the “Forms” link on the left side bar, then KPAB.

Each cost $50, with free delivery in Port Aransas. Out-of-towners need to add $10 for shipping.

All proceeds from the sales will go to fund projects for KPAB.
