Spring Break art camp starts Monday
It’s not too late to register for the Spring Break Youth Art Camp.
The camp, for students in third through fifth grades, is being offered at the Art Center for the Islands Monday through Friday, March 15 - 19, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
Marylin Cook, a master teacher at H.G. Olsen Elementary School, will direct the camp.
The focus of the camp is “Picturing America,” a National Endowment for the Humanities program for art education. Students will work with a vast assortment of media.
Cost for the week is $15 per student, to be pre-paid at the art center, 323 N. Alister St. Registration is limited.
