Eugenie Achilli, a former resident of Port Aransas, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was 87. Known here affectionately as “The Hat Lady” because of her penchant for wearing flamboyant hats, she was active in many civic organizations, especially the Port Aransas Community Theater. More ...
