Last three performances of ‘Blithe Spirit’ this weekend
This weekend brings the final three performances of the Port Aransas Community Theatre’s production of Noel Coward’s comedy “Blithe Spirit.”
The play can be seen Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 11 – 13, at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased for $15 at the theater box office, 2327 State Hwy. 361, Monday through Friday, from noon to 5 p.m., or Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In “Blithe Spirit,” novelist Charles Condomine, living with his second wife, Ruth, invites a local medium, Madame Arcati, to his home. His intention is to research the spirit world for his new book.
Condomine gets more than he bargained for when Arcati conjures up the ghost of his first wife, Elvira.
Caught between a live wife and a dead wife —jealous of each other — Charles thinks matters couldn’t be worse. He is wrong.
Members of the cast are Jay Olah as Charles Condomine, Karen Froeschner as Ruth Condomine, Laura Crocker as Madame Arcati, Peggy Olah as Elvira, Jim Hagans as Dr. Bradman, Kim Wilson as Mrs. Bradman and Patsy Balcom as Edith.
Peggy Olah will direct and the stage manager is Gay Greer.
Larry Paton and Tom Kreyling are the lighting and technology men and Bob Lewis and Ron Kirby are in charge of set construction.
Set painters are Richard Miller, Don Smith, Rick Olson and John Siebrandt.
