Winter beach cleanup volunteers will tidy up island beaches on Saturday, Feb. 13.

The Texas General Land Office and Keep Port Aransas Beautiful are hosting the Adopt-A-Beach Winter Cleanup as part of a statewide effort.

Individuals, families, organizations and youth groups are invited to participate. Event organizer Deno Fabrie said anyone is welcome and, “We’re hoping to see a good turnout of Winter Texans.”

Port Aransas volunteers should check in and register on the beach at Avenue G at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, to be assigned an area. The cleanup will go on, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to noon.
