The weather has not been conducive to fishing, but there is plenty to do in Port Aransas. February and March are activity season around here. A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) proposal to lower the minimum legal length of snook from 24 to 22 inches will be discussed in a series of hearings. Public comment will be sought on, among other things, catching and possessing fish within protected length limits or in excess of bag limits. More ...
