Shelagh McAndrew Edwards, of Nordheim, died at home on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009. She was a former resident of Port Aransas.

Edwards was born Sept. 16, 1947, in Princeton, New Jersey. She grew up there, graduating from Princeton High School in 1965, and attended Monticello College in Illinois.

She made her home in Port Aransas from 1969 until 2002, when she moved to Nordheim.

She is survived by four children; Nicola (Andrew) Fabens of New York, Quinton (Kasie) Edwards of Palacios, Cressida (Nick Browning) Edwards of Corpus Christi and Lucius Edwards of Port Aransas; five grandchildren, four sisters and her former husband, Benton Edwards of Westoff.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Trinity-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Port Aransas.
