FISHING REPORT
Chilly temperatures may have kept some anglers indoors, but those who fished were rewarded with sunny skies and good yields.
Offshore anglers are still catching tuna, kingfish and vermilion snapper, while bay anglers are bagging plenty ofblack drum, redfish and speckled trout.
Long-range floater trips are still bring back the yellowfin and blackfin tuna, and one blue marlin was reported.
John McNatt at Fisherman’s Wharf said offshore trips brought in kingfish, vermilion snapper and a big scalloped hammerhead shark. North jetty anglers are bagging sheepshead, trout and redfish.
Scott Garrison at Deep Sea Headquarters said their long range floater trips brought back yellowfin and blackfin tuna, dorado mako shark and a blue marlin. Offshore boats brought in blackfin tuna, amberjack, grouper and ling, while shorter trips yielded vermilion snapper limits, kingfish and shark. Bay anglers are catching redfish, black drum, sheepshead and speckled trout.

reported big redfish caught in redfish bay and black drum in the channel. Speckled trout were caught under the lights at night.
Nicole Buitron at Horace Caldwell Pier said anglers there are catching black drum, stingray, whiting and gafftop.
Brenda Jackson at Dolphin Dock said anglers on offshore trips caught kingfish, vermilion snapper, grouper and shark, including a hammerhead.
