Special Christmas and New Year services will be held at some island churches.

The Community Presbyterian Church, 113 S. Alister St., will hold the annual Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m., and a New Year’s Eve communion service on Thursday, Dec. 31, at 6 p.m.

Trinity-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 433 Trojan Ave., will have a Christmas Eve service at 8 p.m. and a Christmas morning service at 10 a.m.

Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 100 N. Station St., will have Christmas Eve masses at 5 and 7 p.m. and Christmas morning mass at 10 a.m.
