FISHING REPORT

Fish the ‘window’ when the weather presents it
The lesson last week was:Fish when

you can.

A few offshore trips went out over

the weekend, and they brought bac k some pretty nice catches of tuna,

kingfish and vermilion snapper, with

a couple of wahoo thrown in.

Bay and jetty anglers caught redfish,

tr o ut , black drum, and sheepsh ead,

and the flounder giggers are back in

business.

said long-range offshore trips went

out about 140 miles to catch yell

tuna, about 150 blackfin tuna,

spinner and bull tiger shark and some

kingfish. Sharon Keehlisen at Woody’s Sports

Center reported lots of nice flounder

being gigged, and increased numbers

of sheepshead off the south jetty.

snapper. North jetty anglers are catching

sheepshead, trout, black drum and

redfish.

The long-range tuna trips have brought

was bad enough to keep her home, but

she highly re commends the new Wii

fishing game.

catching mostly sheepshead and trout.
