Rotary Club to post flags
The project, spearheaded by Rotarian and veteran Francis Stokes, helps fund Rotary projects and scholarships for the community throughout the year.
For a $60 annual fee, Rotary Club members will come to your home or business, drill a hole in the yard, install a 10-foot flag pole topped with a 3-by5-foot American flag and let it fly all day. When the day is over, Rotarians will remove the flag and pole, then bring it all back the next holiday. Flags and poles remain the property of the Rotary Club.
Rotary members will be at the Family Center IGA parking lot tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a food drive, and will also sell subscriptions to the flag program.
Flags may be ordered by mail by sending checks to: Port Aransas Rotary Club, P.O. Box 674, Port Aransas, TX, 78373. Include your name, physical addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers (including an alternate phone number) and a check for $60 made payable to the Port Aransas Rotary Club.
