High risk
High-risk individuals will be offered vaccinations against the H1N1 (swine) flu tomorrow and Friday, Oct. 29 and 30, in Corpus Christi.
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District will administer the vaccines from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Sunrise Mall on the corner of Airline Road and South Padre Island Drive at the former Oshman’s Sports Store. Individuals should enter through the former Chelsea Street Pub location on the South Padre Island Drive side.
The vaccination clinic will be limited to these three high-risk groups: • Children ages 6 months to 5 years (not yet in school)
• Pregnant women
• Red Ticket Holders (for pre-screened high risk individuals and issued last week at the health district)
Consent forms, available at the information center at Sunrise Mall, the health district lobby or downloaded from the district’s Web site, www.ccpublichealth. com, should be completed and signed when arriving at the clinic. Parents with red numbered tickets (numbers 1-500) bringing their child for the vaccine should bring the red ticket with them.
The clinic is subject to availability of the vaccine. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For more information contact the health district at (361) 826-7200.
