It’s time to make room for the holidays, so clean out your closets and give all that stuff to a good cause.

The Community Presbyterian Women will accept donations of items for its semi-annual garage sale on Friday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Pollock Center, 129 S. Alister St. Most items, other than large or heavy furniture, will be accepted.

The sale is slated for Saturday, Oct. 24, at the center, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. A wide range of merchandise, including home decor, cookware, linens, sports and fishing equipment, toys and clothing will be sold.

Proceeds from the sale will go to a scholarship fund for Port Aransas High School graduates.
