Get a dose of comedy this weekend at “Broken Up,” Port Aransas Community Theatre’s current production.

The play, written by Nick Hall, is a comedic look at divorce, in three acts.

Jay Olah and Jim Hagans will direct. Jessica Maurine Etheridge and Melissa Estrada will alternate playing Meg Owens who is divorcing her husband, Tom, played by David Beane. Aaron Kenigsberg will play Roger Egan, Tom Owens’ competition. Jay Olah will play Gordon, the amorous landlord.

Jason Morris will serve as technical booth operator and Elliott Morris will be stage manager.

Performances are slated for Friday and Saturday nights, through Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m. One matinee performance will be on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets, $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12, may be reserved by calling the theater box office at 749-6036. The box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tickets are also available for purchase at the theater, 2327 State Hwy. 361, 30 minutes before each performance.
