No, you don’t need to brush up your French, it’s not the Tour de France. The swarms of bicyclists who will be riding through Port Aransas on Saturday, Sept. 26, are participants of Conquer the Coast, a benefit bike ride.

The cyclists start at Whataburger Field, in Corpus Christi, then take the loop through Portland, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, down State Hwy. 361, through North Padre Island and back to Whataburger field, a total of 65 miles.

Proceeds generated by the ride benefi t the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Tarpon Foundation athletic scholarships and the Corpus Christi Chamber Foundation.
