The Port Aransas Garden Club will hold its first business meeting of the season on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. in the Port Aransas Community Center, 408 N. Alister St.

The meeting will include a discussion of some proposed by-law changes.

Meeting hostesses are Cheryl Campbell, Jane Thompson, Kay Loeffler and Karen Murray. September ambassadors are Arlene Hughes and Barbara Behrens. Ambassadors greet and help newcomers become acquainted with the members.

Darrell Lightsey will present a program on “Water Features for Your Garden.” Lightsey assisted the garden club with the community center/museum landscape project.

The club will continue meeting on the second Tuesday of each month, a change from the second Wednesday. The change was made to avoid conflict with Kiwanis Club meetings.
