Welcome to Roundup -- Your support counts!
BRUCE STAFFEL ROUNDUP CHAIRMAN
On be- half of the Port Aransas Boatmen, I would like to welcome everyone to the 74th Annual Deep Sea Roundup in Port Aransas.
The Deep Sea Roundup is the longest running fishing tournament in Texas, and is great fun for everyone. Each year, every participant becomes a member of the rich history of the Roundup, and each year countless memories are recorded in the hearts and minds of the young and not so young.
The fun, competition, and memories are just a few of the benefits the Roundup has to offer. Over the history of the tournament, hundreds of lives have been touched through the funds produced by the Roundup.
The Roundup tournament is conducted by the Port Aransas Boatmen, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering higher education for young people. Your involvement in the Deep Sea Roundup makes it possible for us to continue our community ser- vice providing one of the largest education scholarship programs in the area through our Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Port Aransas High School cheerleaders Page Porter, left, and Judy Wright man last year’s leader board.
This year, the Deep Sea Roundup includes the Offshore Division, Junior Division, Bay-Surf Division, Fly Fishing Division and the Piggy Perch Division for the little guys and gals.
Be sure to check the Tournament Rules for all the details. We strive to make the Deep Sea Roundup the best tournament for anglers in every division and every age.
So grab your poles, have some great fun… and join us in making fishing history.
Bruce Staffel Roundup Chairman.
