     Amy Beck of Port Aransas brought Too Big to the pet parade at the Community Park on Tuesday, June 16. Too Big, who belongs to Beck’s neighbor, Johnie Whisman, won awards for the tallest pet and for the most colorful. The pet parade was one of the summer youth activities conducted by the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department.

Terrific Thursday
     Kids have no shortage of things to do during the summer in Port Aransas. In addition to activities offered by the Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department, the Community Presbyterian Church is hosting Terrific T’s. The program serves up fun and food on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the JELM Center, next to the church, 113.S. Alister.
