Mary Carlita Miller, 78, died at home in Rockporton Thursday, June 18, 2009.

She moved to Port Aransas in 1958, and resided there for 35 years.

She was born to Joe Mint and Eulah Hunter on April 1, 1931, in Borger.

Miller is survived by her companion, Lenard Nelson of Rockport; a son, Randall Chapman of Port Aransas; two daughters, Vivian Nicholson of Rockport and Jacqueline Gonzalez of Robstown; two brothers, Joe Hunter of Clovis, Calif. and Bill Hunter of Corpus Christi; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held on Monday, June 22, in Port Aransas.
