Mixed doubles tennis scheduled Saturday morning

Anyone looking for a casual game of tennis can find one on Saturday, June 6.

Visitors are invited to join residents for the monthly “just for fun” mixed doubles tournament on Saturday morning.

Entry fee is a can of new tennis balls – players don’t even need a partner.

Players should meet at the courts on Station Street between Beach Street and Avenue C at 7:45 a.m. to be included in the bracket. Play begins at 8 a.m. Players should be prepared to play until about noon and should bring water, although there is a water fountain nearby.

Partners are matched randomly, and the format depends upon the number of players participating.

The tournament is sponsored by the Port Aransas Tennis Association and is part of a series of tournaments held on the first Saturday of each month.
