Garden club officers to be installed

Officers will be installed at the June meeting of the Port Aransas Garden Club on Wednesday, June 10, at the Port Aransas Community Center, 408 N. Alister St.

The luncheon meeting will begin at 11 a.m. Members should bring a favorite salad or cold dish to share.

Volunteer lists for next year’s events, such as the Home Tour, Style Show, monthly hostesses and gardening projects, will be available.

Incoming officers to be installed are: Diane LaRue, president; Cheryl Campbell, first vice president; Marilyn Carhart and Jean Peters, second co-vice presidents; Rita Reed, recording secretary and Virginia Moser, treasurer.

Outgoing president Pete Hartje will conduct the installation ceremony. Hartje has served two consecutive years as the club’s president.
