Cross to perform June 12

Summertime + live music + outdoors + sunset + waterfront = Sunset Sounds in Port Aransas.

The second Sunset Sounds concert of the season will be Friday, June 12, at 7 p.m. in the Patsy Jones Amphitheater in Roberts Point Park.

Vickie Cross will perform gospel and country music.

“The public is invited to bring a beverage, snacks and a blanket or beach chairs and enjoy an evening of free musical entertainment,” said Pam Greene from the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department, which sponsors the event.

Sunset Sounds concerts are on the second Friday of each month from April through October.

The concert schedule includes the following:

July 10: Aloha Dave & the Tourists - oldies, surf music

Aug. 14: Riverwalk Ramblers - folk music

Sept. 11: Victims of Circumstance – rock

Oct. 9: Cody Angel & Friends – a variety of music
