First marlin
Ruth Maspero of Port Aransas caught her first blue marlin on Tuesday, May 30, while fishing aboard the Incommunicado with Capt. Paul Snow. She fought the fish for about 30 minutes before releasing it. Maspero said they were fishing about 50 miles offshore, southeast of Baker. They had another blue marlin up just before this one, and just missed a sailfish. They brought home ‘five good-size dolphin for the grill,’ Maspero said.
