'Social Security' held over again at PACT

The Port Aransas Community Theatre production of "Social Security" is being held over yet again. This is good news for audiences and for Relay For Life.

Relay For Life, a community-wide fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, will receive $5 from each ticket sale for the Saturday, March 14, performance.

The run of the play was extended last week for three extra performances due to full-house attendance at past shows.

According to director Peggy Willmott Olah, some people are returning two and even three times.

Two more performances may be seen on Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14, at 7:30 p.m.

The play is by Andrew Bergman, who also wrote screenplays for "Blazing Saddles" and "The In-Laws."

It is a bawdy, risqué comedy for adult audiences about a married couple who are art dealers trying to save their college-age daughter from living only for sex.

Tickets are $15 and may be purchased in advance at the theater box office, 2327 State Hwy. 361.

Box office hours are from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Tickets also may be purchased 30 minutes before performances or by calling the theater at 749-6036 to reserve them.

The cast includes Bonnie Isaac, Jay Olah, Ludmilla and Jim Hagans, Henry Geffken and Gay Greer.
