Buffy Marie Thompson, 36, of Pomona, Kan., died Friday, February 27, 2009, while visiting her grandparents in Port Aransas.

She was born July 14, 1972, to Debbie Gragg and Vance Baskett of Ottawa, Kan.

In 1998 she married Kenneth Thompson in Princeton, Kan.

Thompson is survived by her parents; her husband; her four children, Cody Roy, Alli Jo, Levi Forrest and Fisher Jae Thompson; five sisters, Kimberly Comstock, Carrie Gragg, Kandice Gragg, all of Ottawa, Mandy Stinebaugh of Willamsburg, Va. and Brandy Thorpe of Shawnee, Okla.; a brother, J. R. Baskett, of Ottawa, Kan. and grandparents Dorothy and Calvin Shaffer of Ottawa and Port Aransas.

She was preceded in death by two sets of great grandparents; Arthur and Maude Morris and Arthur and Hattie Shaffer, and a nephew, Luke Calvin (Pooka),

A celebration of her life was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at the First United Methodist Church, in Ottawa, Kan. Burial was held in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, KS.
