H.G. Olsen Elementary School fourth graders got some local history lessons when they visited the new Port Aransas Museum on Friday, Feb. 13. In the photo at right, Lauren Hernandez, left, and Aubrey Sergeant view a collection of photos of historic Port Aransas in the Mercer House. Also in the Mercer House, students heard a talk on local history from school volunteer Arlene Hughes. Above, some students do a little hopskotch while others, in the background, measure a Farley Boat as part of a history-oriented scavenger hunt that also included naming the keepers of Lydia Ann Lighthouse and other quiz questions.
