Eighth graders take first place

The eighth-grade Port Aransas Marlins took first place in their tournament at Brundrett Middle School on Saturday, Jan. 31.

The eighth graders did it with a 36-23 victory over Woodsboro and a 62-39 thrashing of St. James.

The seventh-grade Marlins took second place in the tournament. They beat Woodsboro, 46-19, and fell to St. James, 31-41.

BMS teams play their last games of the season today, Thursday, Feb. 5. The matchups will be against the Falls City middle school teams at BMS. The first game is at 4 p.m.
