Fishing picked up
Offshore fishing picked up a little this week, and the floater trips had large yields. Some big grouper and tuna, plenty of amberjack and at least one wahoo were caught, as well as kingfish and vermilion snapper. Lady Beavers beat Lady Marlins, 63-41
The Port Aransas High School Lady Marlins played hard, but the state-ranked Falls City Lady Beavers dammed up the island girls' efforts.
