Seventh-grade Lady Marlins take second place at tourney

The Lady Marlins fell to Incarnate Word Academy, 18-40, in the first round, but bounced back, besting Skidmore-Tynan, 23-19, in the second and final round.

Lady Marlin scorers in the IWA game: Savannah Ortiz, 13; Morgan Milligan, two; Devon Murray, 4; and Marian Smith, two.

Scorers in the Skidmore-Tynan game: Ortiz, nine; Milligan, two; Chase Hagedorn, two; and Murray, five.

Also in the tourney, the eighthgrade Lady Marlins lost to IWA, 5- 26; and to Skidmore-Tynan, 13-22.
