Pass is PAPHA topic on Jan. 8

The Port Aransas Preservation and Historical Association and the City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department will jointly sponsor a presentation about the Aransas Pass. The program will be held on Thursday, Jan. 8.

Author John Guthrie Ford will speak for an hour at the Port Aransas Civic Center, 710 W. Ave. A, beginning at 7 p.m.

Mark Creighton will give a Power Point presentation.

Ford will explore the history of the pass from the time of the Karankawas to present day.
