Guided beachwalk set for Friday

Residents and visitors are invited to learn about what washes ashore on the beaches of Mustang Island.

A guided beach walk, sponsored by the Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department, will examine beach treasures tomorrow, Friday, June 27.

The free walk, led by island naturalist Steve Zarych, will start at 9 a.m. under the red flag next to Horace Caldwell Pier.

The walks are held on the fourth Friday of each month.

Beach walkers should wear appropriate shoes and clothing and bring a container for any treasures found.
