Wee Ones will learn wetlands

Junior naturalists are in luck. The City of Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a workshop just for them.

Wee One Wetlands, for kids 5-8 years old, will include a workshop on native plants and wetlands, hands-on activities such as planting and a nature walk. They will learn what plants are good for Port Aransas and which one are not, and study the wetlands and all its plants and creatures.

A snack will be provided each day. Wee Ones Wetlands was created and will be presented by Ashley Hawes of Port Aransas as part of the requirements for earning her Gold Award, the highest in Girls Scouting.
