Chamber will promote city on KLRN-TV

The praises of Port Aransas will be sung over the airwaves of KLRN, the Public Broadcasting System television station in San Antonio, on Thursday, June 12.

The Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce will participate in opening night of the 42nd annual KLRN Blazing Gavels Auction.

More than 32 Port Aransas businesses have contributed packages valued at $100 or more. The packages include accommodations, fishing and dolphin watching trips, and dining and shopping certificates.

"This has become a yearly tradition for the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce, and since San Antonio is our primary market, the KLRN auction is a great and inexpensive way to bring business to Port Aransas," said Ann Bracher Vaughan, executive director of the chamber.

Helping Vaughan promote the Port Aransas packages and participating in the auction will be chamber staffers Teresa Clanton and Lauren Kalke.
