Job fair is for employers and employees

Individuals looking for jobs and employers looking for employees in the North Bay area are invited to a job fair called "Working in Paradise" on Wednesday, May 28.

The Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce-Tourist Bureau is partnering with five other chambers of commerce in the North Bay area and Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend to sponsor the event. It will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Paws and Taws Convention Center on the harbor in Fulton.

The job fair is designed to be a "one-stop-shop" for those seeking employment, as well as businesses seeking employees, in the North Bay area. Prizes, giveaways, refreshments and live entertainment will be featured. Each participating employer will give away a prize. A drawing will be held at the end of the event.

Chambers involved, in addition to Port Aransas and Rockport-Fulton, are from Aransas Pass, Portland, Ingleside and Sinton.
