Olsen Elementary PTO to hold officer election

The nominating committee of the Port Aransas Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) will present a slate of officers to consideration at a meeting Monday, May 12.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the H.G. Olsen Elementary School gym, 100 Station St.

Parents of elementary school students are welcome to attend the meeting. Only PTO members may vote.

In addition to the proposed slate of officers, nominations will be taken from the floor.

The slate of officers that will be presented by the nominating committee includes Laurie Hanmore for president, Jenny Kite for treasurer, Meagan Kelley for secretary and Rhoda Gleason for parliamentarian.

In addition to the officer election, upcoming events, including the teacher appreciation luncheon on May 16 and other end-of-school activities, will be discussed.

A performance by elementary students will also be included in the evening's activities.
