Youth soccer group gearing up for fall; registration is soon

The Port Aransas Youth Soccer League (PAYSL) is already gearing up for the fall season. Only two opportunities are available for current residents and past players to register: Saturday, May 3, at the Port Aransas Community Park baseball field from 9 to 11 a.m., and Monday, May 5, at H.G. Olsen Elementary School Cafeteria from 5 to 7 p.m.

The registration fee is $60 per child, with sibling discounts available. New players must provide copies of their birth certificates.

Registration forms are also available at www.portasoccer.com. These must be mailed by June 1 to PAYSL, P.O. Box 134, Port Aransas, TX 78373. New players must include copies of their birth certificates with the mail-in forms as well.

The league may have as many as four traveling teams.

Anyone interested and qualified to coach is asked to call a PAYSL board member.

The board members are Anne Denton, Michele Lorette, Tonya May, Patty Garlough, Sarah Maxham, Melissa Shook and Jennifer Bender.
