Mixed doubles team falls

Port Aransas' entry in the regional tennis tournament last week lost to the eventual second place winner in mixed doubles.

The tournament was held at College Station April 23 and 24.

Kevin Drewry and Charlotte Lucke lost 6-1, 6-1 in the first round to Hawkes and Horton from Sabinal. They went on to win second, so they will advance to state.

"We had a good season, and I'm looking forward to next year," said Coach Piper Boies.
