Webb back in U.S. after duty in Iraq

Army Reserve Sgt. Karye L. Webb of Port Aransas has returned to the 28th Military Police Company in Johnstown, Pa., after being deployed to an overseas forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Operation Iraqi Freedom is the official name given to military operations involving members of the U.S. armed forces and coalition forces participating in efforts to free, secure and stablilize Iraq.

Members from all branches of the U.S. military and multinational forces are also assisting in rebuilding Iraq's economic and governmental infrastructure, and training and preparing Iraqi military and security forces for independence as a sovereign democracy.

Webb is a unit supply specialist with eight years of military service.

She is the daughter of Kimberly K. Hansen of Port Aransas and the granddaughter of Judy Hansen of N. East Ridge, Minden, N.C.
