Beach walk set Friday

A free, guided beach walk, led by Capt. Steve Zarych, will start at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, April 25, under the red flag next to Horace Caldwell Pier.

Sponsored by the Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department, the walk gives visitors and residents the opportunity to learn about the flotsam and jetsam that wash ashore on Mustang Island beaches. The walks are held on the fourth Friday of each month.

Beach walkers should wear appropriate shoes and clothing and bring a container for any treasures found.
