Sock hoppin'
A kids' sock hop sponsored by the H.G. Olsen Elementary School PTO attracted dozens of pint-sized dancers, many dressed up in 1950's garb, to the school gym on Friday, March 28. The band, called Alias: Hart and Jones, with Pete Hartje on bass and Mike Jones playing guitar entertained with a combination of music ranging from 50s rock-n-roll to 'Itsy Bitsy Spider.' Hartje said the sock hop was one of the most fun events he's ever performed for, and the crowd was among the best he's played for.
