Easter services set for Sunday
Three Port Aransas churches plan special Holy Week services, in addition to the non-denominational community wide Easter sunrise service (see related story).
Community Presbyterian Church, 113 S. Alister St., will hold a Maundy Thursday and Tenebrae service tonight, Thursday, March 20, at 7 p.m.
St. Joseph Catholic Church, 100 N. Station St., will hold a Holy Week Mass at 6 p.m. tonight, Thursday, March 20, and a Good Friday Mass tomorrow, March 21. An Easter Vigil will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 22. Mass will be held at 9 and 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday, March 23.
Trinity-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 433 Trojan St., will have a Maundy Thursday Seder Meal at 5:30 p.m. tonight, March 20, followed by a stripping of the church and then All Night Vigil. The Good Friday Stations of the Cross will be at 7 p.m., March 21, and the Great Easter Vigil will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 22. Easter Day Eucharist will be at 8 and 10 a.m.
